Reputation Era Outfit Guide: Black, Snakes and Edgy Jackets

Reputation flips the script on every other era: instead of pastels and sparkle, think all-black, leather, snake motifs and a much edgier attitude. It is the easiest era to build entirely from a normal closet, since most of the pieces are wardrobe basics you already own.

Go monochrome black

A black bodysuit or fitted long-sleeve top, black skinny jeans or leggings, and a pair of black boots is the whole base. Mixing matte and slightly shiny black fabrics (like a faux-leather legging with a matte top) adds texture without needing extra pieces.

Layer in snake and leather details

A snake-print scarf, choker or statement earrings are an easy way to reference the album art without going full costume. A cropped faux-leather or denim jacket thrown over the base outfit adds the edge this era is known for, especially if the weather is cool.

Hair and makeup

Sleek, straight hair (a flat iron works better here than curls) and darker makeup — a smoky eye, a deep berry or nude lip, and sharper contour — complete the look. This is the one era where you can go bolder with eyeliner and dark tones without it feeling out of place.

The quick recap

All-black base, a snake or leather accent, sleek hair and a bold lip — Reputation is proof that you do not need sequins to nail an Eras Tour look. It is also the most wearable era outside of concert night. Check out our other era guides for Fearless, 1989 and Lover.
